Deep Concrete Treatment I – thickness from 3 to 60 mm

The purpose of the Deep Concrete Treatment I is to:

  • Reconstruct the concrete structure with equal or superior characteristics of the original;
  • Protect the structure from aggressive agents;
  • Increase the lifespan of the structure.

Execution steps:

  • Definition and delimitation of the areas to be treated;
  • Demolition of the deteriorated concrete until the intact and healthy substrate is reached;
  • Cleaning of the reinforcement through sanding or steel brush. In extreme cases, when there is more than a 20% loss of the armor section, it is complemented with new steel bars;
  • Surface cleaning by hydroblasting;
  • Application of corrosion inhibitor in all of the brushed reinforcement;
  • Projection of polymeric mortars, in order to reconstitute the original structure;
  • Finishing through a straightener.

Deep Concrete Treatment II – thickness over 61 mm

The purpose of the Deep Concrete Treatment II is to:

  • Rebuild deteriorated concrete;
  • Protect the structure from aggressive agents;
  • Increase the lifespan of the structure;
  • Improve the aesthetic, promoting a smooth and even surface.

Execution steps:

  • Definition and delimitation of the areas to be treated;
  • Demolition of the deteriorated concrete until reaching the integral and healthy substrate;
  • Cleaning of the reinforcement through sanding or brushing of steel. In extreme cases, when more than 20% of loss of the section of the reinforcement occurs, a complementation with new bars of steel is done;
  • Application of corrosion inhibitor in all brushed reinforcement;
  • Making shapes for grout launching;
  • Preparation and lacing of microconcrete or grout;
  • Microconcrete healing;
  • Form withdrawal;
  • Finishing to remove possible protrusions.
