High-performance coatings are intended to promote the protection of structural elements against chemical, mechanical, physical and bacteriological aggressions, with hygienic and aesthetic requirements.
Types and characteristics of High-Performance Coatings:
Low thickness sealers = 0.1 to 0.15 mm: Sealing of monolithic spatulate or epoxy coating, giving greater chemical resistance and ease of cleaning.
Low thickness paints = 0.1 to 0.2 mm: High resistance to chemical attack and easy cleaning. Can be used in hygiene and cleaning industries, pharmaceuticals, hospitals and laboratories.
High thickness paint = 0.3 to 1 mm: High mechanical strength, abrasion and impact, with non-slippery surface. It also offers high resistance to chemical attack if sealed with suitable paints. Can be used in metallurgical industries, assembly areas and wet areas. The use of colored aggregates enables them as decorative coating, in commercial areas.
Spatter coating = 4 to 10 mm: High mechanical strength, abrasion and impact, with non-slippery surface. It also offers high resistance to chemical attack if sealed with suitable paints. Can be used in metallurgical industries, assembly areas and wet areas. The use of colored aggregates enables them as decorative coating, in commercial areas.
Self-leveling coating = 1.5 to 6 mm: High mechanical strength, abrasion, impact and high chemical resistance. The smooth surface allows for easy cleaning and asepsis. Use in hygiene and cleaning industries, food, pharmaceutical, hospitals and laboratories.
Multiple Layer Coating # 1.5 to 4 mm: High abrasion resistance. Can be used in areas that require good mechanical and chemical resistance, but do not require impact resistance. The adoption of colored aggregates enables its use as a decorative coating in commercial areas.
Laminate flooring = 0.6 to 2 mm: High chemical resistance and abrasion. Can be used in the chemical, petrochemical and paper and pulp industries.
Anti-corrosion coating = 5 to 40 mm: Polymeric silicone coating with high chemical resistance to protect structures against numerous acids and solvents in the range of 0 pH to 8 pH. Excellent adherence to mineral-based (concrete, masonry) and steel surfaces, high impact and abrasion resistance and it is also ecologically correct. Can be used in effluent treatment plants and waste treatment plants, where biogenic acid etching of sulfuric acid and acids are combined with mechanical and thermal demands.
Epoxy decorative coating = 4 to 12 mm: High resistance to abrasion and scratching, easy to clean. Can be used at airports, schools, shopping centers and commercial buildings.
Non-slippery coatings = 0.2 to 2 mm: For ramps and stairs.
PS: It can be applied over old waterproofing without the need for demolition.
