Waterproofing with geomembrane do not allow the absorption of water and protect the structure, increasing its useful life.

  • Material 100% waterproof, with low deformation or permanent;
  • Welding, made with hot air through special equipment;
  • All welds are tested making the system suitable. In the tests, a tensometer is used, where the rupture is produced by the material itself rather than by the weld;
  • Great elasticity. The enlargement at rupture may be greater than 350%;
  • It is a tenacious material. Although its elasticity is not an easy material to loosen or tear;
  • High adaptability o the irregularities of the support thanks to its high deformability and the high resistance of its welds;
  • Mechanical protection can be dispensed with.

Cleaning of the waterproofing area – The first stage of waterproofing with geomembrane refers to the cleaning of the substrate, removal of loose parts and tipped elements that could damage the membrane.

Application of Geomembrane – It is a waterproofing system composed of flexible geomembranes. The geomembranes are the result of a melting of materials by the calendering process, allowing it to exhibit excellent characteristics of flexibility, resistance to UV rays, resistance to rotting and aging.
Because it is a non-adhered system, it offers greater reliability when the structure to be waterproofed is subject to the constant movements, because the presented system has a good part of the membrane “loose” of the structure, that is to say, if it undergoes some type of and will suffer damage, this effort will not be transmitted to the geomembrane. Therefore, the waterproofing system will remain intact, guaranteeing the structure’s tightness.

Geomembranes application process – After the application of the geotextile layer, the membrane will be positioned with a 10 cm spacing between the rollers, both horizontally and vertically and welded with hot air welding equipment. Both the temperature and the welding speed must and can be adjusted in place according to the external conditions to obtain a perfect weld.

At the edges the membrane will be sealed by installing a galvanized steel profile covered with a PVC or TPO film; under this profile the modified polyurethane based sealant will be applied first, and thereafter will be attached to the edge of the wall; in some cases where there is hydrostatic pressure, in addition to the described procedure, the profile will still be fixed by screws with the bushing every 25 cm.
